My Left Eye (4/13/13)

My left eye is swelling
Like a torpedo
From keeping secrets.
They’re escaping
Despite my reluctance
To create
And talk.
My left eye is reddened
Sore and hot
Stories are collecting like tears
I rub my eye
Hoping for release.
My left eye is tight
The skin is shiny
Taunt
Stories simmering beneath.
